The regional stage of the English spelling contest “Kazakhstan Spelling Bee” was held in the American corner of the Regional Library named after L.N.Tolstoy, on February 2, 2020. 

The purpose of the competition is to strengthen knowledge of the English language and popularize American culture among Kazakhstani youth. 

30 people, students of the Kostanay universities and colleges, took part in the competition. The task of the participants is to spell the leading word correctly. The difficulty lies in the fact that many English words are not spelled as they are pronounced. 

5 participants of the Kostanay Higher Medical College took part in this competition. Mukhamadiyeva Gulmira, a student of group 202 Nursing, took the 4th place. 

The winners who won the first, second and third places will go to the national competition (national stage) in the city of Nur - Sultan. Certificates were issued to all participants.
