On January 10, 2020, the exhibition “2020 is the Year of the Volunteer” was designed at the KHMC library in support of the idea of declaring 2020 the Year of Volunteers as the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the forum of Kazakhstan-Russia cooperation “Volunteering is a social elevator for youth” in Kostanay in 2019 year. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan drew attention to the fact that volunteering is a manifestation of true patriotism and it is necessary to further create conditions for the successful self-realization of young people and support good undertakings. The head of state noted: “This year will be a new stage in the development of volunteering in Kazakhstan.”
