On 10 October 2017, Z.B. Dosmailova, teacher of pathology and anatomy, delivered a lecture on «Prevention of heart attacks and strokes» for the students of 1 year at conference hall.

Wrong choice of lifestyle can lead to serious physical health problems like high blood pressure, high blood sugar and lipids in the blood, which in turn is the most important risk factors for development of heart attacks and strokes. By reducing physical activity and consumption of more products with high content of fat and sugar, the population is becoming overweight. Because overweight an increasing number of young people and children sick with diabetes.

It was proved that the cessation of tobacco use, reduce salt intake, consumption of fruits and vegetables, regular physical activity and the prevention of harmful use of alcohol reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. In addition, to reduce CVD risk and prevention of heart attack and stroke in diabetes, high blood pressure and elevated lipid levels may be needed drug therapy. In order to increase the motivation of people in choosing and maintaining healthy behaviours necessary policies in health care, ensuring the creation of a favorable environment for the possibility of a healthy choice and affordability.
